NaBloPoWhat?
This is my fourth year to participate in the National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo.
For the unknowing, unwary or uninitiated, it means I’ve committed to posting something every single day, for the 30 days of November, on my blog. I love NaBloPoMo and I really, really want to participate, so I’m going to dedicate my posts this November, to things I’m grateful for, since that should be easy. Right?
It may be words or just pictures from my phone (or both).
Ultimately, I believe that I have so many things to be truly thankful for, that even though sometimes I get temporarily overwhelmed and forget to appreciate all that I have, I can’t run out of content, because my life is full of blessings.
So today, I’m grateful for NaBloPoMo, and for reasons to celebrate the good stuff.

~Grateful for silly photos on my phone that make me laugh~
All in the family
I recently stumbled across a Facebook dialogue between me and my cousin Cindy from a couple of months ago. Â For some reason, reading it again really cracked me up.
It should most likely offer you a lovely window into my family’s warped sense of humor.
I had just posted this picture of a 4-year old Kim, as part of a #100 Happy Days Social Media challenge. My cousin was quick to comment, sneaking in a reference to my childhood fear of Santa Claus.

Yep.

Dining is Caring – #WeBrewScholars
Tonight was one of my favorite nights out – the #WeBrewScholars “A Taste of India” monthly fundraising dinner produced by the Learning Tea at Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party.

The Program
The Learning Tea‘s mission is to provide life scholarships to impoverished young women in India by giving them the opportunity to continue their education through university. The Learning Tea pays for complete tuition and living expenses while providing a safe and stable dormitory living environment.

The Scholars
Their primary fundraiser is the monthly dinner at Dr. Bombays, the last Monday of every month, serving up a pretty effin’ tasty 4-course vegetarian Indian meal for a measly twenty bucks. Not too shabby.

The Very Delicious Samosas
I look forward to this night so much, mostly because we always manage to round up a great group for dinner. Tonight I was joined by Dana, Susan, Cooper, Kathryn and Samuel.

Photobombed by the Coopster.

Celebrating with bubbles. BTW, champagne is delicious with Indian food. Just in case you didn’t know.

A Toast to Good Friends, Good Food, Health and Happiness.

The indomitable Dana – one of my bestest and the life of any and every party.
It’s a fitting counter-balance to the culinary excesses I over-enjoyed this week at home, and what a nice thing – using something as simple as a meal to give others a home and future.
